In some countries, even before the pandemic, the number of truck drivers on the roads was insufficient to meet the industry’s needs, and that supply gap is only expected to grow. Robo-truck not only can help expand freight capacity, but also enhance quality of life for individual drivers, by relieving them of tedious or physically taxing portions of routes.
1550nm LiDAR is mainly installed in front of the Robotruck. Because Robotruck demands a long detection range (200m@10% reflectivity) and high resolution (Hor). : 0.07° version. : 0.03 °).
LiDARs on the side of the Robo-truck are used to detect surroundings and blind spots. In considering the size and braking distance of the truck, LiDARs on the side have wide FOV (Hor. : 360°Ver. : 40°) and relatively long detection range(200m@10% reflectivity).
Customers can set up different alarm zones within the LiDAR range: yellow (first-level safety monitoring zone), orange (second-level alarm zone) and red (third-level alarm zone).
Respond to every customer's specific security needs by providing a related or separate alarm zones.
When the vehicle is turning, the detection zone can be automatically and flexibly switched to eliminate the blind area as much as possible.
When a vehicle or pedestrian enters the collision avoidance zone, an early warning will be activated and alarm through signals such as Sound and Light.
